About Reem Pharmacy

Reem Pharmacy was founded in 1989 by Shalim and Joseph Tatar. The pharmacy was located in the lovely San Francisco Bay Area, in El Cerrito. Only one block away from two large health and home care facilities, and easily accesible by walking and public transporation. We catered to a patient population of mostly senior citizens. Our patients enjoyed our pharmacy consulting room with its large electrical viewer screen.

Reem Pharmaceuticals provided the latest information and services on all aspects of pharmaceutical care. We were involved in programs such as screening and measuring blood pressure, diabetes, immunization, smoking cessation, and helping asthma patients. Read more about our services here.

Shalim Shabbas Tatar, Pharm.D., MPA/HSA, is a pharmacist and health care consultant. She founded Reem Pharmacy with her husband Joseph after previously owning and managing two pharmacies and having over 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical care. Shalim received her master's degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on Health Services Administration at the University of San Francisco.
